Alison (my SIL) & Anthony got married! 7-20-08
(Yes, I know, it was a week ago.....but I went from tutoring here, to tutoring there, to the beach, and back to tutoring! A post is better than no post!) (BTW, they look all sweet and innocent in this pic, but right after it, they totally smashed cake all over eachother!! LOL! Now they are off honeymooning in St. Lucia and hopefully enjoying themselves!)



Glad that all the stress involved is over. Planning and being a part of a wedding is very involved!I am a little disappointed that I didnt end up with too many great shots, but it was difficult. I am hoping the photographer got some good ones! My hair was totally awesome. Though my makeup was kinda runny and raccoon-y by the end of the night. It was a very hot day out, so that did not help much!



It was a lovely day and everyone had a nice time!

Three Years - July 10

On July 10 BFresh and I celebrated our Third Wedding Anniversary. Hard to believe it has been 3 years. It feels like less and it feels like more all at the same time. This August it will be 10 years since the first day we met. Time flies when you are having fun! Each year we go out for a nice dinner to celebrate and we reflect back on the fun things we have done and list our "favorites" and plan the things we would like to do and places we would like to go. I made a little Flickr collage of our wedding photo and a photo from dinner each year. It is funny how my hair has gotten progressively longer each year! Otherwise we pretty much look the same! Hehe!

BFresh's Sister is getting married tomorrow. We are headed to the rehearsal later. I will be back on Monday with some photos!

FINALLY

Man! I have been gone forever! I am really sorry about that. I have missed blogging a lot. My hiatus began in April. I was tutoring as many hours as I could at that point and driving back and forth from DE to NY. I started many students in DE later than everyone else and so I had to do double time to get everything done and everyone ready in time for the test. I did! And everyone did very well, for the most part. I had 2 perfect essay scores and some great improvements.
I wrote many a blog post in my head during those days in the car! Then my blog decided it wanted to post in reverse order....which was so infuriating. Ravelry had my last post listed as March 7th. I determined I needed to upgrade my Wordpress but I was petrified to do so. I feel so rusty and out of practice. I used to be really good with html and web stuff, but after I set up my blog in November of 06, I didnt really need to do much to it, so I stopped using that part of my brain. And as we all know.....when you don't use it.....you lose it! I also was getting more spam messages than I could handle. From July 4th to today, I have 1695 comments in moderation. URGH! So I decided to make a switch and try out Blogger. Hopefully this will be the end of all the headaches. I really dont need anything fancy....just the ability to share my photos and thoughts.

So what have I been up to?

BFresh and I went on our big vacation to the Pacific Northwest. It was a lot of fun and I will post about it in more depth in the future.
Then we came home for 1 day and then BFresh went to a conference in Orlando and I went back to NY to start my summer students. We both got home on July 3rd, and since then I am not really sure where July has gone.

I have gotten to the point lately where all my free time tends to get wasted somehow. There are so many things I should be doing and I just do not have the strength. It is ok as long as I keep my sanity! I have also been doing a lot of yarn stalking, swapping and selling on Ravelry. LOVE THAT PLACE! I have met so many nice people there, and have been able to keep in touch with many of my readers on there with PMs. I do hope that you will all continue to visit me here. I will try to do my best to never be gone for so long again!

I will do my best to jump back in and reconnect. I had even stopped posting photos. I got really burnt out and it was disappointing to me that I had stopped doing a lot of the things I had enjoyed. I hadn't even been knitting all that much. But it is time to change all that. Time to get my life in order. I have a lot of things I need to do and I need to start doing them.

BFresh's sister is getting married on Sunday. I will try to post pics on Monday! We will be pretty busy in the next few weeks. My summer feels like it is almost over, since we have things to do each week. September is going to be VERY busy, as I will have about 30 students for that month. I declared myself officially full, since I wanted to make sure I could do justice to all the people I have now. I hope all is well with everyone! I look forward to hearing from you all soon!
